WHAT WE DO

"No One Ever Taught Me to Be Organized"

That's what many of our clients say. Some of our clients are going through life-changing circumstances, and others do not have time to organize their environment by themselves. For others, things have gotten out of control and they are too embarrassed to ask for help from friends, family, or employees.

People like these have found relief by calling on Kim Cosentino, founder of The De-Clutter Box, experienced and efficient organization consultant, and so called “clutter therapist.” Kim takes the time to understand the situations and factors behind the clutter to create personalized, effective, long-lasting systems. All partnerships are non-judgmental and confidential.

Meet Kim Cosentino

Chief Organizing Consultant

Originally from Rocky River, Ohio, Kim Cosentino, graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Miami University (Ohio) in 1980. A career in hospitality and catering followed, in Cleveland and luxury hotels on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. In 1985 she joined the Marriott Corporation and was with them for ten years in sales and marketing.

Working in the hotel industry helped Kim develop the corporate training and understanding of time management, people skills, and paperwork organization. In 1994, while the idea of a professional organizer was still new, she launched her own business.

Since then, her services and insights have been quoted in Parent Magazine and iVillage/NBC Universal; featured in Real Simple, Women’s Day, Reporter Progress, Suburban Life, Daily Herald, Hinsdale Doings, MetLife, Chicago Tribune; and guest spots on local NBC5, ABC7 News, and WGN Radio.

She has served as past president for the National Association of Professional Organizers’ Chicago chapter.

CLUTTER CONQUERED

"Kim started 'fixing' me in 1995. I was hopeless! With her help and constant check ups, I've learned. I will never be as good as her, but I now can survive!"
